[margin: Jan Schaecht] 3a Junij 1663 baptizatus est Jo[ann]es f[iliu]s Jo[ann]is Schaect[?] et Catharinae de Vos con[iugum], natus 20 May hora 4a mat[utina]. Susceptores fuerunt Stephanus de Meulen[aere?] et Elisabeth Voorteboo[?].

Translation

On 3 June 1663 was baptised Joannes, son of Joannes Schaecht and Catharina de Vos, a married couple, born on 20 May at four in the morning. The godparents were Stephanus de Meulen[aere?] and Elisabeth Voorteboo[?]. The only Joannes Schacht baptised at Tielt in the years read (1653-54 and 1660-71): probably the Joannes Schaeght who married Maria Van Dierdonck at Tielt in 1692 and died at Wingene in 1738, though his burial calls him 'about 84', nine years older than this date gives (grade A for the entry; the identification is grade C).
