Translation

The same day [24 February 1637]: Joanna, daughter of Joannes Verhelst and Anna Malegeer, a married couple; sponsors Jacobus Tassin[?] and Anna Bauet[?], wife of Mauront[?] Carol[?]. The couple are the Koekelare Verhelsts of 1635-1638 whose kinswoman Anna Malegeer was godmother to Hermannus Dewulf's son at Gistel in 1638; neither sponsor here is a Dewulf or a Verhelst, so the entry does not join Joanna Verhelst, wife of Jan Dewulf, to this family.
